Privacy Policy

As a part of Malviya Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd having its Head office at “Manokamna“, A48, Sudershanpura Enclave, Golimar Garden, Sahakar Marg, Jaipur-302001, ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with modern banking, customer trust/satisfaction, security-oriented service, and banking services, the bank has adopted the privacy policy aimed at protecting individual’s personal information entrusted and disclosed to the Bank. This Policy governs the way in which the Bank collects, uses, discloses, stores, secures, and disposes of personal information.

This policy is the property of the Bank and cannot be conveyed in any manner or form outside the Bank without prior written consent of the Bank. The Bank reserves the right to modify this policy at any time and will endeavour to post the most current version on its website.

This Policy is applicable to personal information and sensitive personal data or information collected by the Bank or its affiliates directly from the customer or through the Bank’s online portals, mobile apps, electronic communications, as well as any information collected by the Bank’s server from the customer’s browser.

“Personal information” is data that can be used to identify a natural person. Examples that may be collected include:

  • Personal Information: Name, contact details, residential address, date of birth, identity card/passport details, KYC details, etc.
  • Financial Details: Income, expenses, credit history, etc.
  • Employment Details: Occupation, directorships, positions held, employment history, salary, etc.
  • Other Information: Risk profile, investments, objectives, business interests and assets, etc.
  • Banking Information: Account numbers, banking transactions, etc.

  • Mobile Device Information: Device location, device information (including storage, model, network), transactional and promotional SMS, communication info including contacts and call logs (with consent).

1. Commitment

  • Information collected and used by the Bank can include information supplied by users as well as information automatically collected through navigation or other means.
  • Our websites may contain links to other websites not maintained by the Bank. This policy applies only to the Bank's websites. For third-party sites, their privacy policies apply.

2. Security

The Bank gives access to user information only to authorized employees, who are obliged to follow the rules, regulations, and this Privacy Policy.

3. SMS and Email Privacy

  • The Bank never seeks confidential/sensitive information (PINs, passwords, CVV, expiry date, issue date, etc.) from users by any means.
  • The Bank never sends unsolicited messages to your registered mobile number or emails to your registered email ID.
  • If users have not registered their mobile number, the Bank will endeavour to ensure users do not receive promotional SMS.
  • The Bank will update or register users' mobile numbers or email IDs only with their consent and/or signed application.

4. Disclosure

Users authorize the Bank to exchange, share, or part with user information with its affiliates, financial institutions, banks, credit bureaus, telecommunication agencies, electronic clearing networks as may be required by law, credit reporting, customary practice, statistical analysis, credit scoring, etc., and will not hold the Bank liable for such disclosures.

5. Consent

  • Users consent irrevocably to the Bank for disclosures to third parties as required by law or compliance.
  • For enforcing terms and conditions of products or services.
  • For protecting or defending the Bank's or its affiliates’ rights, interests, or property.
  • For preventing fraud.
  • Users consent to the collection and use of their information by the Bank, agreeing to this policy’s terms.
  • Users undertake to keep passwords complex and confidential.
  • Users agree to receive communication from the Bank.

6. Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures

Malviya Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd. prioritizes protecting customer privacy and takes all reasonable measures to maintain confidentiality. Personal information is protected through physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with applicable laws, including standard encryption for data transmission.
